Honeymoon is always one of the most special trip of a couple.

Whenever I’m approached to organize a honeymoon, I feel incredibly happy and at the same time truly honored to be the person chosen to plan one of the most special trips for a couple.

Type: Honeymoon

Destination: Mauritius Island and South Africa

Many times, the bride and groom are new clients to me, and I love having an initial call where I try to discover more about their destination desires, hobbies, and preferences for the trip. I also pay attention to the small details they casually mention, which help me organize little touches, surprises, and unique details that make the trip even more special than they imagined.

Rafa and her husband knew they wanted to go to Africa for their honeymoon but weren’t familiar with the vast destination, different regions, or which hotels they’d like to stay at. So, after our first call, I spoke with my local partner, Embark Safari, and together we designed the best options for itineraries, hotels, excursions, and everything crafted to the honeymooners' preferences.

The itinerary began in Mauritius, where the couple could relax for a few days after the wedding rush. I suggested the wonderful One & Only Le Saint Géran, as it had just been renovated and was the perfect match for them. Upon arrival, the couple was greeted with their first surprise: in addition to an upgrade, the room featured their wedding playlist on Spotify, and alongside the welcome amenities, there was a photo of the couple from their wedding, which had taken place just three days earlier.

The trip then continued to South Africa, where I suggested the Singita Ebony hotel for their safari dream. Their feedback on the hotel was:

The safari hotel was the best I’ve ever stayed at in my entire life.
— Bride
I loved the Singita, Cris! Perfection!
— Groom

The rest of the trip was filled with many special moments, hotel upgrades, surprises at every stop, highly qualified guides, and, of course, amazing hotels like the Four Seasons in Johannesburg, The Silo in Cape Town, and La Residence in Franschhoek, in the wine region.

Receiving such feedback after the trip and seeing a couple so happy and fulfilled with their dream honeymoon makes me so happy! It’s the certainty that the work and care in designing the itinerary, choosing the hotels, and creating thoughtful surprises were exactly what they needed and exceeded their expectations.
